I'm trying to stray away from getting too excited about material objects lately. It's easy to think you will be happy once you recieve an item you have been lusting over for a long time, only to find it's not what you expected nor will it bring you an exceptional joy. But as an early birthday present, I treated myself to a new polaroid camera. Naturally I got the pink one and not only is it aesthetically pleasing but I believe it to be an object that will be useful and bring me joy eventually. I will be so excited to have these physical photos to look back on years from now. Often, I take pictures with my phone and it's simply not the same; I often find myself placing multitudes of potentially important images in the trash since I wasn't interested in them at the moment. My goal for the blog is to not show off things that I've purchased but to instead display creativity in a beautiful manner. Whether I share recipes, decorations, or even means of photography (see above), my intentions are never to only talk about "stuff." Of course, I share with you beauty-related posts which I find to be very difficult to make since beauty blogging can so easily be taken as an outlit to show off things you buy. But, bear with me as I figure out ways to add my love of beauty products (I may have a problem) without just talking about "stuff." Obviously, a little haul is fun now and then (I sure as heck spend most of my time on the internet watching Sephora hauls) but I never what to be a person who is perpetually talking about their newest things.
stay healthy and beautiful,
mad
